Predefined boxes

When sending shipments you often need to add measure and weight of the parcels to send. This is entered on the shipment package line in Shipping Central. If you use a set of different boxes when packing and sending goods you can set these up as Predefined Boxes and add measurement to the box. When shipping just choose a predefined box and measurement is taken from the setup of the predefined box, thus saving time when shipping.

To work with boxes start open the Predefined Box list from Shipping Central Setup under Releated / Setup / Content / Predefined Boxes.

In the list add your set of boxes with their measurements. Weight is the weight of the box it self. Volume is calculated by the system when you add the box measurements.

You can set a default box that will be used on all shipments if not manually changed. Default Box is set in field Default Box Code on Shipping Central Setup.

When shipping with direct printing on post action (not opening shipment page) the default box is used. When opening the shipment page the default box is set on package lines and can be changed by selecting any of the other predefined boxes.
