Install the app
The first thing to do when start using Shipping Central is to install the app to your Business Central. Shipping Central is published on Microsoft App source where the current version always can be found.
To install extensions from App Source your user in Business Central must have the right permissions. You must either be a member of the EXTEND. MGT. - ADMIN user group or you must have the EXTEND. MGT. - ADMIN permission set. This can be set on the user page by someone with admin permission.
Shipping Central on App Source is found here or by searching for it in Business Central.
In App Source on Shipping Central page press the button Free Trial.
If you are not logged in you will be asked to so, logg in with the same account as used for Business Central. Markt the box to confrim the terms and press Continue.
You are not presented with a list of your Business Central environments. Choose the environment where the app should be installed and press Install.
Business Cenrtal is now opened. Set the app isntallation language and press Install.
App installation starts and runs in the background. Normally an app installation is ready within 15 minutes.
Status of the installation can be seen on Deployment Status page that is found from Extension Management.
When reloading Business Central after the app installation is completed a notification is raised to start configuration.
With Shipping Central app installed in your Business Central the next step is to start with the “Onboarding Wizard“.
